Rememory is essentially remembering something (a memory) after you’ve long forgotten it. Like when you remember where you left your car keys mid-panic attack, or when you recall a massively humiliating memory from childhood you’ve long since repressed, and will proceed to beat yourself up over having now remembered it. (We’ve all been there, bro. Sympathies.)

Rememory also happens to be Bear Language’s debut LP, which was released mid-June.

For a taste of the album, the boys have dropped their video for the single “Meet Me Outside.”

Melancholic and broody verging on angsty, the song is a trippy foray into the band’s Boston-bred and David Lynch-inspired (or mind-fucked?) heads.

Thick with intercutting memories and a villainous dude who knows all (think of him as the vampiric Dumbledore of your nightmares), Nicolas Pesce eerily directs the video. If you don’t spot (or rather, feel) the Lynchian creepo vibes reverberating off the television set in the video and through your screen, projecting you right into the middle of Mulholland Drive alongside a perma-confused Naomi Watts in cutoff denim shorts, you may kindly show yourself out. Or, you know, use the band’s video as a start to madness.

Beautiful, beautiful madness.

P.S. the band will be performing at Boston Calling’s fall festival, September 7 and 8. Mark it down, kids, and just remember: don’t watch the tape. And don’t fall asleep.
